Palmer: "I’m keen to prove myself in my first season out on loan."

Kasey Palmer has had a fantastic start to life on loan. The midfielder came on for his debut for Huddersfield opening game of the season and his second with his second touch. He came on as a sub in the next game against Newcastle and got the assist for the winner.

Now, the 19-year old is looking forward to playing in front of his home crowd once more.

"Our crowd have been brilliant so far and that’s what we want in every match,” said Palmer, who netted 18 goals in development football last season," Palmer said.

"It was unbelievable in our last home game because every time we touched the ball, did something well or closed someone down, the fans were going crazy – and that’s great for the team. All I can do is urge people to come down and watch, make the crowd bigger than ever and take it from there.

"The fans were unbelievable against Brentford, creating a brilliant atmosphere, and I can promise them we will try our best. The work ethic will be there and we will give 100% week in, week out.

Palmer is also pleased with the team Chelsea picked for him to start his first professional season in men's football.

"The style of play has topped it off for me. Playing with a No10, playing good football and playing out from the back – it’s what I’ve been used to at Chelsea. After a very good season last time, this is another step in the right direction for me and I’m keen to prove myself in my first season out on loan.

"We’ve got a really good group of players, a really good staff and the atmosphere being created by the fans had just been so positive in every game."
