Bertrand Traore loaned to Ajax
Chelsea, Ajax and Conte have to today [Friday] confirmed that Bertrand Traore will spend a season on loan to Dutch club Ajax. Traore has also signed a new 3 year contract.
Traore will join up with former Vitesse boss Peter Bosz, who coached the youngster while he was on loan at Vitesse for 18 months. Traore scored 20 goals in 51 appearances in Holland, before returning to Chelsea. Now, he will heading back out on loan for development.
Ajax sporting director, Marc Overmars, added: “I’ve been working on signing Traoré for over a year. It is now up to Traoré to show that Ajax is the right choice for him and Chelsea. He has many qualities. He is quick, targeted and it is an advantage that he knows the Dutch league. The presence of Peter Bosz was important to him, they worked well together at Vitesse.”
Conte said: “Traoré is a good player and together, the club and the player, we prefer him to have a season to play every game. He is a good prospect and he will come back.”
