Antonio Conte suggest Matt Miazga needs a loan
New boss Antonio Conte has said defender Matt Miazga needs game time to improve as a player, fuelling rumours the 21-year old could go out on loan.
"What are plans for him [Miazga], I heard he might be loaned out. Can you tell us anything about him this season?" asked a reporter.
"Miazga is a young player, he has good technique, I think he is working very well under physical aspects, under tactical aspects. He can improve a lot," said Conte.
"To improve, to grow in experience. You can only improve if you play or a lot of games during the season. He is a good guy, I am very happy about him."
Miazga was a surprised signing in January, as Chelsea paid £4m for the centre back from the MLS. He has only made 2 appearances since and has not started any games for Conte this pre-season. He seems like an ideal candidate for the loan system. Whether Chelsea will send him packing for a season or utilise him is yet to be seen.
