Marco van Ginkel's agent: "PSV is willing to wait for Marco."
Marco van Ginkel's agent recently spoke with Dutch newspaper VI about his clients future and it gave Chelsea fans [as well as PSV fans] clarity on the situation.
"I expected only in mid-August clarity," says agent Karel Jansen. "He was not on the 24 players for the training camp in Austria, says nothing else. This is all discussed in advance. All internationals missing from that group. Coach Antonio Conte wants to see Marco after that trip, like to see the work and only then Chelsea will make a decision. "
The agent goes onto to clarify what van Ginkel's desires are.
"He has a preference for PSV. Marco has since had a very good half year and there is quite sure of playing time. There is also interest from other clubs for Marco. Actually, he is always well in the market. He is a box-to-box midfielder with scoring ability, as many clubs look for."
"But at foreign clubs is never sure," Jansen continues. "They promise everything that happened at AC Milan and Stoke City, but there is also quick panic, though Marco also played quite a lot in Milan and Stoke. However, PSV provides more security. We have a lot of contact with PSV and the club is willing to wait for Marco. They know the ins and outs."
