Christensen: "The main thing is, to play. That’s the main thing that I want for my future.&quot

Andreas Christensen sat down with Goal to discuss where his future lies and gave Chelsea fans hope that he will return from his loan spell to be a Chelsea player.

"The main thing is, to play. That’s the main thing that I want for my future," Christensen told Goal.

"It is all about playing football and that’s it. [Playing at Chelsea] That is an ambition of mine, to play over there in the first team but right now I am not thinking about the future.

"I am not thinking about Chelsea and what they are doing and what I am doing. I am focusing on what Borussia is doing. I am just really looking forward to playing games and hopefully qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League."

Last season, it was reported that Barcelona were keeping tabs on Andreas, as they searched for a new centre back.

"Some of these things like that [Barcelona rumours] come out of nowhere and you don’t know where it is coming from," Christensen continued. "I try not to concentrate on it but it is a part of football, I am not sure there was truth in that one.

"I am thinking about what I am doing this season because I really need to push after the first good one. So now I am just really looking forward to push for the second season and try to develop as a footballer even more."

Mourinho gave Christensen his Chelsea debut, but only featured 3 times all season for Jose until he was sent on loan to Germany.

"I didn’t see that one coming when I left Chelsea [Jose at Man United] but he had to do what’s best for him so no hard feelings.

"It is weird to see but that’s the way it is. I think he will be good, he is always a success really. He will give them a winning mentality which is the main thing, he will make them win and he wants to win."
