Tomas Kalas wants to stay in the Premier League
Tomas Kalas reps have confirmed that the 23-year old wants to stay in the Premier League and that he's happy at Chelsea.
Emre Sarigul spoke to his agent and he said; "Kalas wants to stay in England next season, preferably in the Premier League. He is happy at Chelsea but Middlesbrough are interested."
Kalas was a part of the Middlesbrough squad who secured promotion to the top flight. They have been busy this summer signing quality players and the delay of any interest reported in Kalas put his future at Boro in doubt, but it now seems they are still attracted by the idea of taking Kalas.
Chelsea themselves are short on quality defenders and are chasing their summer targets, but Kalas could be an interesting addition to Conte's squad. With ageing John Terry and Ivanovic not expected to hold down first team positions, Kalas could see himself in the frame for those at Chelsea. For now, Kalas has returned to Chelsea training with the loan squad led by Eddie Newton.
