Papy Djilobodji no longer in Werder Bremen's plans
Papy Djilobodji sent last season on loan at Bundesliga's Werder Bremen where they were struggling to survive. Fast forward to the last day of the season and it was Papy's goal that secured their statues in next seasons Bundesliga.
Bremen were hopeful for many months of extending Djilobodji loan spell. However, Bremen's sporting director Frank Baumann spoke to Bild to confirm he won't be joining them next season.
"It looks like that he will not be joining us again. Also because we now have other plans," said the 40-year-old.
It's not sure whether Papy or Chelsea rejected another loan spell, but his future at Bremen is clear. It's over!
