Kenneth Omeruo to end his Chelsea career

According to AfricanFootball, Kenneth Omeruo will soon sign for Turkish champions Besiktas on a season long loan and they will offer the Nigerian centre back a 3-year contract after the loan is up.

The report states that Besiktas cannot afford Omeruo this season due to FFP, but will next season where they'll sign him directly from Chelsea.

A top source explained only to AfricanFootball.com: “Both Chelsea and Besiktas have agreed that Kenneth will move to Turkey on a season-long loan after which Besiktas will give him a three-year permanent contract, if everything goes to plan. “Kasimpasa had the option to sign the player on a permanent deal after his loan spell there last season, but they could not afford to do so. “And now with the Besiktas deal firmly in place, it is very likely they will take up the permanent contract option at the end of the season for the player to finally cease to be a Chelsea player.”

“Besiktas are the club who have approached Chelsea, but they cannot buy him on a permanent basis because if they do that, they will run of the financial fair play,” the source revealed. “What they could get is a loan, but there are several other clubs in Turkey and Germany who are also interested.”

He spent time on loan with ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough and Kasimpasa and now it looks like he'll stay in Turkey for at least another season.
