Dermot Drummy: "Mitchell is one of the best I've seen at distributing the ball."
Head coach of Crawley Town and former Chelsea U-21 coach Dermot Drummy believes the loan move for Mitchell Beeney will be a good test at a good stage in Mitchell's career.
"I know his dad, Mark, who is a former Brighton and Leeds United keeper. I worked with Mark at the [Chelsea] U21s," Drummy explained.
"He has a great pedigree because his dad is an excellent coach and Christophe is renowned for coaching Petr Cech, so he's had some good coaching.
"He has developed into a very good young man and the thing that we worked on at Chelsea was bringing the keepers into the sessions so they were good with their feet. [Edwin] van der Sar was, for me, one of the top keepers at that.
"We tried to progress all the keepers like that and I think Mitchell is one of the best I've seen at distributing the ball. Mentally he had to grow and I think that is still the stage for him when he comes in now."

"He has progressed nicely and is a very stable young man, a good team player and a great trainer.
"I think this will be a very good test at a good stage in Mitchell's life where he has become a father and he lives just around the corner in Crawley Down.
"It's the perfect move for him, he isn't having to move up north. He is based around the family life and at this stage in his career it will hopefully be fruitful for us and Mitchell."
Drummy is hoping to see his keepers compete for the number 1 spot in his side for their upcoming season.
"I've known Mitchell since he was an U14," he said.
"He's the type of goalkeeper we are looking for; he's very good with his feet to start the attacks for us and I think it will a great experience for him to come and play in League Two and compete for the position with Yusuf [Mersin].
"Glenn [Morris] will predominately be staff but I will look at him [in pre-season].
"They will all have opportunities to play and then will hone the keeper section down as we get nearer to the season."
