Jeremie Boga edges closer to a return to Ligue 1

According to FootMercato, Jeremie Boga is close to returning to Ligue 1 for the upcoming season.

Jeremie Boga spent 2015-16 season with Ligue 1 club Rennes, where he made 27 appearances in the League while scoring 2 goals. He was due to go on loan in Spain, but the move broke down and he was sent to Rennes on 31st August. Missing all of Rennes pre-season. He also joined at the same time as promising #10 Quintero from Porto, so had an uphill battle to convince the club and fans he was good enough to play.

Boga can play on either wing and behind the striker, but then Rennes manager Montanier was convinced of Boga's quality to start him as their striker. Montanier was sacked in January and replaced with Rolland Courbis. He soon became known to be stubborn with his selection. Due to his treatment of players, Quintero left and this allowed Boga to gain more minutes.

Jeremie is now back with Chelsea after a short-lived tour with the French U19 team and he has clubs from Spain, Italy and Germany lining up to take him on loan. FootMercato state that the club's name who are most likely to take Boga on loan has not yet filtered through, but that that it is a french club who have European football next season. This leaves 6 possibilities; PSG, Lyon, Monaco, Nice, Lille or Saint-Étienne.
