Marco van Ginkel coy over his future

The Dutch league still does not have a winner. The last day of the season will determine who will win the League. Ajax and PSV are level on points, but Ajax lead on goal difference. Marco van Ginkel is not giving up hope and he spoke to PSV about the situation and his future.

“Of course we have to win our game first, and that, of course, will be difficult, away at Zwolle. This is not just something. At home, they are always very good, but I am confident that we are there to take the three points. That is the only result that counts.” Van Ginkel said.

“Of course, that is not the only obstacle. We do not have it in our own hands, but all we can do is hope it eventually all ends well.”

Van Ginkel is on loan at the club from Chelsea. He has since been on a fine run of form in the League. Scoring eight goals in 14 games, but he remains coy on his future.

“At the moment it is not an issue to talk about, just before such an important match. I came here to play, to be important for PSV and ultimately to become champion.”

“Preferably [hopes for a quick decision on his future at Chelsea], but sometimes you do not have it in your own hands. Chelsea must judge it, there is also a new coach [Conte]. Therefore, we have to wait a bit.”
