Marko Marin linked to Augsburg after being banished by Trabzonspor

The big news coming from Turkey is that loanee Marko Main has been told by Trabzonspor he is to be banished from the squad.

Reason given was the 27-year-old's "inadequate performance" along with five other players. He no longer can take part in the team training of the Turkish first division. Trabzonspor had the rights to purchase Marin after the end of his loan spell, but that now looks highly unlikely.

Marin's agent, Fali Ramadani, has hit back at Trabzonspor for the treatment of his client. "Marko has helped to save from relegation and was crowd favorite. Now the club needs players who earned no more," Fali Ramadani says to SPORT1.

"This is inexplicable to me because Markos services of other Turkish top clubs like Galatassaray have been honored in January with a written offer. But that has the current president of Trabzon rejected because Marko in his view was the most important player." Ramadani suggested that Trabzonspor wants to get rid Marin, to save money. Marin himself refused to comment.

Rumours of a move to Augsburg have resurfaced. Back when Chelsea were chasing Baba Rahman, it was reported Augsburg wanted Marin as part of the deal. But Marin's agent, Fali Ramadani, has dismissed the rumours. "There is no truth, there is no contact with the club."
