Malaga likely to extend Christian Atsu loan deal for one more season

According to AS, Malaga want to extend Christian Atsu's loan deal until the end of 2016/17 season. Atsu joined initially on a six-month deal during the January 2016 transfer window.

AS has been told, the Ghanaian, despite not having too many minutes these months is convincing Malaga boss Javi Gracia that he deserves a place in his plans ahead of next season.

They say Atsu has already made it known that he would like the idea of continuing at least one year in the Rose Garden and that Malaga will sit down with Chelsea to discuss taking the player on loan next season. Atsu has started twice for Malaga since his loan move (scored on his debut) and has come off the bench 7 times, mainly due to injuries.

After two unsuccessful loan spells in England, Atus may have found a place he can call home.
