Father tells Chelsea. "He should just focus on playing football and finishing the season."

Andreas Christensen's father has confirmed that Chelsea have not spoken to his son and recommends that he should remain at Gladbach for another season.

Christensen has gained even more coverage after rumours that incoming Chelsea boss, Conte, wants the Danish star back at Chelsea.

"I haven’t talked to Andreas about Chelsea’s next manager, or that he would be interested in going back to Chelsea," said Christensen's father.

"Andreas is at Borussia for two years. He should just focus on playing football and finishing the season. He has a two-year loan with Gladbach, and they expect him to fulfil it.

"We have an agreement with Borussia to sit down and talk this summer to evaluate the first year. We haven’t heard from Chelsea or others, and we shouldn’t. He’s very happy in Gladbach, he’s developing well, playing all the time. I don’t think he can get more experience than he is right now."

Rumour has it that Chelsea have told Gladbach they want Andreas back and that they can have Ake in return. Asked about Nathan Ake, who is currently on-loan at Watford, Gladbach's Sporting Director Eberl stated:

"At Chelsea almost all players are interesting. I know Aké, but he is not a player who we have asked after."
