Chelsea starlet Andreas Christensen still on Barcelona's wishlist
According to Mundo Deportivo, Andreas Christensen is Barcelona's alternative if they cannot land their top target Aymeric Laporte of Athletic Club Bilbao.
Barcelona international adviser, Ariedo Braida, says the Catalans' top priority for the summer window is the signing of a defender, due to their ageing centre backs.
Braida said: "We need definitely a defender due to the age of our players in that position. This is a great club, we have a great squad with a great coach. It is difficult to say how we can strengthen it further but we must always try to improve. Maybe, just due to the age of our defenders, we need a player there, the backline is the most critical one."
If Barcelona cannot land their top target, Andreas Christensen is an alternative they are working on, along with PSG's Marquinhos. MD say Barcelona scouts have been impressed by Christensen during his loan spell at Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga. Thankfully, MD say Chelsea are unlikely to negotiate the exit of the Danish Talent of the Year.
