Kane: "I just know that I will go back next summer. Then we'll see what happens."
On Sunday, NEC have to play ADO Den Haag on artificial turf. Not everybody is happy with the decision, including Todd Kane.
"We should just do it," said right-back Todd Kane. "It should not matter, but I do not have the right kind of field. We have bad results on artificial turf, but it was not just a result. It was the way of playing. If we do it like last Sunday against Ajax makes no matter the type of surface. "
Kane has enjoyed time on the pitch in what is his 5th loan spell, aged just 22. A total of 28 appearances in Holland has alerted Southampton and Newcastle. A number of other clubs have shown an interest. Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven are also keen.
Kane took the opportunity to discuss his future beyond this season. "I just know that I will go back next summer. Then we'll see what happens. And if we get European football with NEC? That's for certain."
