Houghton: "It's disappointing but there is always another game."
Jordan Houghton made his debut for Plymouth Argyle, as they were defeated by promotion rivals Accrington Stanley. Houghton just joinged Plymouth few days ago on loan until the end of the season and was thrown into the starting 11. Finishing the game. Here's what the 20-year-old midfielder had to say. Houghton told Herald Sport: "I'm obviously disappointed with the result on my debut and disappointed with the performance as well. From having been with the players in training for a couple of days, I know we can do a lot better than that."I'm disappointed for the fans as well, who have come so far. We have to turn it around in the next game (against Luton Town at Home Park on Saturday)."
"No-one wants to lose. It's a dent in your pride, but we have just got to pick ourselves up and go again. It's disappointing but there is always another game."
"We didn't really put on any kind of performance. We didn't pass the ball about. They (Accrington) deserved it in the end. It was very frustrating how the goals came about. We didn't hang on in the last little bit of the game."
"It was a tough game to come straight in to. It was a bit of a battle in there. We didn't control the ball throughout the whole game, which is disappointing. There was lots of running and lots of trying to put my foot in."
"Unfortunately, we couldn't really get the ball down and play, which is where some of my quality would hopefully have come into play. Hopefully, next week we can get the ball on the ground and play like we can."
