Izzy Brown scores his first senior goal!
Izzy Brown scored his first professional goal for Vitesse, as they won 2-1 at away to Roda. Izzy Brown started as a striker, instead of his usual position on the wings. Solanke is recovering from injury and isn't due back for some time. This has given Izzy an opportunity to showcase his talents upfront.
"I have played as striker in some youth teams, but I had to work very hard today. I think it went quite well today," Brown said. "Today it was important to hold up the ball and work hard. I am really happy because this is only my first goal for Vitesse. We went for the three points until the end of the match. I hope this is the start of a good run until the end of the season."
Perhaps the switch of position from a winger to a striker can benefit Izzy the same way it did for Bertrant Traore for Vitesse. Let's hope do!
