Musonda is wanted by Zambia

It has been reported by FootballAssociationZambia that Zambia coach, George Lwandamina, has invited Charly Musonda to play for Zambia national team in their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations Qualification against Congo. Charly's father, Charles Musonda, was born in Zambia and played 48 games for the national team, which qualifies his son to be eligibility to play for Zambia.

“Lwandamina says he is fully aware of the allure for Charley to feature for Belgium. However the coach is very hopeful that the part of his heritage with both parents being Zambian will sway it for the Chipolopolo team.” Football Association Zambia went on to say.

If Charly does accept the offer, this would mean he can no longer play for Belguim. A team he has featured in from U17s to U21s level.
