Max Eberl praises Christensen... again!

Max Eberl was in an interview with Bild and took the opportunity to speak about Andreas Christensen and whether he'd like to sign the young defender, and the answer was very clear:

"It would be a dream. We knew that we could borrow a great talent for two years, but he played quite unique of its 19 years to be. That's why we have the desire and belief to make a permanent agreement with him," said Eberl.

Max Eberl is finally aware that Chelsea might want to keep on Andreas Christensen, as he is indeed contracted with the London club.

"If it is Chelsea's intention to replace John Terry with Christensen, we have to congratulate them on a very good player. And we must rejoice in having had a world class player attached for two years," says Max Eberl to Bild.

There's confusion over whether Andreas Christensen's loan move is 1 or 2 years. Max Eberl has publicly been stating that it is a 2 year loan deal without an option of recall, but the Chelsea website has it down as a 1 year loan spell. If it was indeed a 2 year loan spell, Chelsea would be transparent of the deal. Similar situation happened with Torres when he was loaned to AC Milan and Chelsea were clear in stating that this would be a 2 year loan deal. I believe Max Eberl wants to fool people into thinking this is a 2 year loan deal. Its more a 1 year loan deal with an option to a second, if all parties agree. Including Chelsea.

According to Steen Christensen, Andreas agent and father, there is nothing concrete on the table in terms of offers.

"He have a contract with Gladbach that we sit down for summer and evaluates his first year there. There is no doubt that they are very happy for him, but that's the agreement we have made," says Steen Christensen and continues;

"Will there be anything specific, I take a chat with Andreas, and then we discuss it. But he is obviously glad to be in Borussia." says Steen Christensen.

It is now common knowledge that Monchengladbach will table an offer for Andreas to Chelsea in the summer, but Chelsea must be careful. John Terry is out of contract and is set to leave the club in the summer & Zouma will not be available until August with his ACL injury. This leaves only Cahill as Chelsea's recognised centre back. With Conte expected to manage Chelsea next season, he must look at Andreas and see him as the future for Chelsea's weak defence.
